Alexandre Azaria - Composer

Alexandre Azaria was born in 1967 in Paris. He began his music career at 17, as a junior music art director in advertising. He joined a rock band (le crie de la mouche) as a guitarist, made two albums, and went on his first European tour with a band called Niagara. Alexandre started producing with Indochine (a major French band), as well as composing an entire album. While under contract with EMI, he took part in a remixing call for the French band Noir Désir, rearranging a rough rock ballad into a feline “space march”, the music illustrating the space scenes in James Bond films such as You Only Live Twice & Diamond Are Forever, composed by his mentor John Barry. The band released it as a single and it was played on the country’s pop-rock radio stations, coming to the attention of director Hervé Admar, who hired him to compose the music for his first film, "Like a Fish Out of the Water". Alexandre has since composed for over sixty films, including huge international productions in Europe and Hollywood such as the Transporter franchise, Lockout (2012) and Brick Mansions.
